Record Anything with Selectable Focus Patterns

Ara provides two selectable pickup patterns for maximum versatility. The directional Front (cardioid) pattern captures sound directly in front of the mic while rejecting sound from other sides; it’s perfect for podcast hosts, bloggers, gamers, videoconferencing and miking instruments. The Front + Back (omni) pattern picks up sound evenly from all sides, making it ideal for capturing interviews with multiple speakers, tracking multiple singers and instruments, or recording ambient sounds on location.

Ultimate Ease of Use

Recording with Ara is plug-and-play simple. Connect directly to Mac and Windows computers using a standard USB-C connector. For Android devices, use an OTG USB adapter; for iOS devices, use an optional Apple Camera Adapter and a powered USB hub. Ara works seamlessly with live-streaming, videoconferencing and music-recording applications. Controls for common functions are right on the front of the mic, including pattern selection, a mic mute button with LED indicator and a 3.5mm headphone jack for latency-free monitoring.

Adaptable to Any Space

Ara’s compact footprint and versatile mounting options make it ideal for both desktop use and studio recording scenarios. Set Ara on a desktop using the included yoke and base stand or attach to a boom or standard mic stand; use the included adapter for European mic stands.
